Pretoria, 11 August 2026. — The Cuban State Mission in South Africa and Cuban residents held a popular sporting event amongst compatriots, dedicated to the centenary of the birth of our eternal Commander-in-Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.
The event provided a space for fraternity, unity and the reaffirmation of the values that characterize our people. Through sport, the participants honored the memory and enduring legacy of Fidel, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The event reaffirmed the Cubans’ commitment to the defense of national sovereignty, solidarity and the continuity of the revolutionary cause.
Together we proclaimed a resounding:
Long live Cuba!
Long live Fidel!
Long live the continuity of the Revolution!
