St. Kitts and Nevis- Cuba Friendship Association- Press Release
The Saint Kitts and Nevis - Cuba Friends Association welcomes the news of the recent measures adopted by the United States government, which include the removal of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, the elimination of the application of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act and the elimination of the list of restricted Cuban entities that designates a group of institutions with which American citizens and institutions are prohibited from carrying out financial transactions, which has had an effect on third countries.
Our association recognizes these measures as positive steps and that they correspond to our demands with a view to achieving a normalization of bilateral relations between both nations. However, we also consider that these measures are not sufficient because the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba is still in place and continues to impact Cuban families on a daily basis.
The SKN-Cuba Friends Association will continue to advocate for the total elimination of this blockade and we will continue to support our sister Cuba.
Down with the blockade
Long live Cuba!
Long live the friendship between the people of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba!
