The Albania-Cuba Friendship Association expresses its full and unwavering support for the Cuban people and government in their just struggle against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America for more than six decades.
Taking its cue from the great solidarity march in Havana on December 20, which symbolizes the powerful voice of a proud and determined people for justice and sovereignty, our Association joins global calls to end this unjust, inhuman and unjustifiable act.
The blockade has not only caused great suffering to the Cuban people, but also constitutes a blatant violation of international law and fundamental human rights. Despite these challenges, Cuba has demonstrated extraordinary international solidarity in the fields of health, education and humanitarian aid, offering the world a shining example of humanity and dignity.
We, the members of the Albania-Cuba Friendship Association, call on the international community, international organizations and all progressive governments to increase their efforts to end this unjust blockade and to support the legitimate right of the Cuban people to self-determination and independent development.
Our solidarity with Cuba is unwavering and will continue until the final lifting of the blockade!
