East London, February 6, 2026.- The premier of the Eastern Cape, Oscar Mabuyane, together with several members of the provincial government, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to South Africa, Fakri Rodríguez Pinelo, and his accompanying delegation, who are on a road trip around several provinces of the country.
During the cordial exchange, they discussed the possibilities of extending and diversifying cooperation and trade relations between the two countries, especially with the province, particularly in the health sector, where there is extensive experience based on the presence for more than 20 years of collaborating doctors in several municipalities, who have contributed significantly to South African society.
Taking advantage of the visit, the ambassador visited a group of Cuban collaborators working in the Eastern Cape, in the towns of Mthatha, East London, and Port Elizabeth, where our professionals have been providing their services for almost three decades.
