Successful participation of Cuba in the International Festival "Art Alive" in South Africa

Pretoria, September 1st, 2019.- The talented Cuban saxophonist Michel Herrera, at the head of the Madre Tierra group, was in charge of putting the international “Art Alive” festival held on September 1 in the South African city of Johannesburg.

Cuba was represented for the first time in “Art Alive”, as a special guest country to this great cultural event that starts in spring every August and brings together the most prominent local young talent and musicians of the international scene.

During the great open-air concert that kicked off the event, the stellar Cuban group, made up of young musicians, delighted the listeners with contemporary music from the Jazz genre Island and also offered a varied repertoire of Cuban rhythms such as son, the rumba and the chachachá, which were very well received by the massive audience.
