Kingstown, January 22, 2026- The Honourable St. Clair Leacock, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Disaster Management and Immigration of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, received this morning the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to that country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
During the cordial exchange, both authorities highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, based on friendship, mutual respect and cooperative solidarity. They also addressed issues of common interest related to strengthening bilateral links and cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The Honourable Leacock welcomed Cuba’s contribution to the development of the country, particularly in key sectors such as health care, education and human resource training, while Ambassador Rodríguez Etcheverry reaffirmed his country’s willingness to continue deepening bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of respect and understanding, reaffirming the will of both parties to continue strengthening the historic ties of friendship between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (Embassy of Cuba to St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
