Technical exchange held between Cuba’s Border Guard Troops and the U.S. Coast Guard Service

On September 8 and 9, a technical exchange between Cuba's Border Guard Troops and the United States Coast Guard Service was held in Havana, with the objective of exchanging on ways to increase operational cooperation between both services regarding the combat against migrant smuggling, illegal migration and drug trafficking, as well as search and
maritime rescue operations.

The meeting took place in a respectful and professional atmosphere. The delegations from both countries highlighted the usefulness of these meetings and agreed on the importance of advancing cooperation in this area.

Both parties agreed to continue with these technical meetings in the future.
