Dublin, Ireland. May Day, 2024. It could not be a better time than May Day, for the delivery of a donation of medical supplements to colleagues in the health sector of the Artemiseño municipality of Bauta. The initiative, born from the damage suffered by the tornado in the town of Baracoa last year, has been the result of the efforts of Irish women, also linked to the health care of their people, in their capacity as nurses.
In this way, they made it possible to take their noble dedication in Ireland to a town more than 7 thousand kilometers away, twinned with the Irish for their kindness and national history, in defense of their sovereignty and independence.
The Cuban resident in Ireland, Yohanca Díaz, in coordination with the Cuban embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Health Directorate of the municipality of Bauta, made such a commendable gesture a reality, which was appreciated during the welcome ceremony, chaired by the Municipal Health Director, Dr. Amed Ordaz.
Reporting about it through Facebook, comrade Amado Riol, a MINREX official, who witnessed the activity, commented:
Thank you Bauta for the hospitality!
Thanks to the Irish Solidarity Movement for their support of the Intensive Care of the Municipal Polyclinic!
Thanks to our embassy in Ireland, to the municipal authorities.
Cuba must be loved and defended.
