Third Secretary participates in Ecuador's flag-raising ceremony at the Latin American Square

Canberra, May 26, 2025. The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Australia, Ivianes Gonzalez, participated in an emotional ceremony of raising the flag of Ecuador, held at the Latin American Plaza in Canberra, in commemoration of Ecuador's Independence Day.

Members of the diplomatic corps, Australian authorities and members of the Ecuadorian community residing in the capital were present.

The ceremony, organized by the Embassy of Ecuador, included the singing of the national anthems of Ecuador and Australia, as well as the hoisting of the Ecuadorian tricolor in the iconic Latin American Plaza, a space that symbolizes the unity and cultural diversity of the countries of the region in Australia.
