Traditional Cuban Music Festival carried out by Cuban residents in Sydney

Cuban residents linked to the promotion of Cuban rhythms and dances in Australia organized a traditional music festival with the support of the Latin community at the Uruguayan Club based on Sydney last 16th March.

Songs from the Buena Vista Social Club, the Orquesta Aragón and the Trío Matamoros were remembered as well as best hits of the Cuban percussionist Chano Pozo, recognised for being the Afro-Cuban jazz rythm mastermind. The artistic direction was in charge of the Cuban citizen Armando García, who is a trumpet player and a Band Director graduate from the Esteban Salas Conservatory of Santiago de Cuba.

Third Secretaries attended the function on behalf of the Embassy of Cuba.
