The search for solutions to transform the reality facing the country today will be one of the central themes of the 7th plenary session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC).
The head of the Department of Organization of the PCC, Roberto Pérez, declared to the press that the conclave, to be held on the 15th and 16th, will constitute an integral evaluation and will approve the path to follow, when there are only a few days left for the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
He explained that prior to the plenary session, a broad consultation process was carried out on the documents that will be submitted for debate in more than 34 thousand meetings.
On the agenda of the forum is the evaluation of the ideological work in compliance with the ideas, concepts and guidelines of the Eighth Congress of the political organization and the guidelines of the economic and social policy of the Party and the Revolution, as well as the national plan for social economic development until 2030.
According to the political leader, the criteria issued and the proposals made on these last two topics point out the need to update and modify some guidelines, incorporate new ones, correct deviations, look for reserves and also make proposals that allow overcoming the situation faced by the country in the economic order.
As in previous plenary sessions, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee will report on its work.
