Tribute to Gandhi in Seychelles on the anniversary of his birth.

Victoria, October 3rd _ The Embassy of India in Seychelles celebrated the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with a ceremony held at the Peace Park, where a statue of the Indian independence hero is erected.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the Asian nation in Seychelles, Mr. Vikram Grewal, remembered the legacy of the leader of the national independence movement, the principles of peace and brotherhood that guided his leadership, his defense of freedom, as well as his method of peaceful struggle, recalling that the date of his birth was chosen in his honor as the International Day of Non-Violence.

The simple but heartfelt tribute was attended by diplomats, academics and representatives of the Indian community in Seychelles.
