Belize, May 19, 2025.- Members of the Cuban state mission in Belize paid tribute to National Hero José Martí on the 130th anniversary of his death in combat on May 19, 1895, in Dos Ríos.
During the tribute, notable aspects of the life and work of the most universal of Cubans were highlighted, including his organizational work for the Necessary War, the founding of the Cuban Revolutionary Party, and his role as a delegate, as well as his efforts to unite the old pine trees with the new and his deep anti-colonialist and anti-imperialist conception.
José Martí's political project was the fundamental guide of Fidel Castro's revolutionary thought and the foundational basis of the Cuban Revolution, which is why Cuban patriots in difficult times like those that the Homeland faces today remember this distinguished patriot who sacrificed his life for a Republic with everyone and for the good of all.
Martí lives within us and his imprint accompanies us in every place where we find ourselves, making valid the postulate that Homeland is Humanity. (EmbacubaBelice).
