Pretoria, November 16th, 2020.- The President of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mtho Xulu, was received today by the Cuban Ambassador to that African nation, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, at the headquarters of the Caribbean Embassy in Pretoria
They agreed to immediately begin the process for the signing of a Mutual Cooperation Agreement between that South African institution and the Cuban Chamber of Commerce. Likewise, they identified the practical actions to be taken to create a Joint Business Council in charge of facilitating direct contacts between companies from the two countries in sectors of mutual interest.
The Cuban Ambassador extended an invitation to participate in the Business Forum Cuba 2020, which will take place virtually next November 8-9. Mr. Xulu confirmed his participation, and that of a group of South African companies, in this important event.
