The UBS TV channel broadcasted a statement by the ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, for the New Year 2025 and the 66th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
He congratulated the Parties for the results of the parliamentary and local elections in 2024, the elected and re-elected members, the new joint government and the members of the cabinet, wished them success and welcomed Mongolia's results.
Among other issues, the Ambassador recalled that 2024 was a year of great challenges for Cuba due to the continuation of the US blockade, which aims to render the people deprived of food and medicine and overthrow its government.
He reiterated his gratitude for Mongolia's vote in favor of the resolution against the blockade in the UN General Assembly, which for more than 30 years has been approved by an overwhelming majority of the international community.
The diplomat recalled that on January 1, Cuba celebrates the 66th anniversary of the triumph of its Revolution, which, after more than 100 years of struggle, achieved, for the first time, the independence and sovereignty of the country. He added that the Revolution guaranteed, among other things, access for all, without discrimination, to employment, health, education, culture, sports, etc.
He recalled that in 2025 both countries will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of friendly and cooperative diplomatic relations that have made it possible to train some 150 Mongolian professionals in Cuba since 1963.
He wished everyone a happy and prosperous New Year and new successes to the President, the government and the Mongolian people in 2025.
