The Union of Young Communists (UJC) of Cuba convenes a vigil for today May 13th for the victims of the unfortunate accident at the Hotel Saratoga

After finding on the afternoon of Thursday, May 12, the lifeless body of the last missing person as a result of the fateful accident at the Saratoga hotel in Havana, after 6 days of incessant and risky rescue and salvage work, since Friday, May 6,  the day the explosion occurred, there are now 45 deaths as a result of the unfortunate event.

The painful search for the victims of the accident at the Hotel Saratoga has ended. It has been six days in which all of Cuba was one in pain. Once again, and as so many times in our history, solidarity marked every second around the victims and their dear relatives.

So that the light of none of them goes out, the Cuban youth organization calls for a vigil this Friday, May 13, starting at 7:00 p.m., in the Parque de la Fraternidad (Park of Fraternity).

For those who cannot make it, we ask that at 9:00 p.m. Join us from your homes in a heartfelt minute of silence and turn on a light for the 45 victims of the Hotel Saratoga, so that they may always be with us.
