Pretoria, April 15, 2024 - The rector of the University of Cienfuegos, Dr. C. Orquídea Urquiola Sánchez, together with MSc. Ioani García Fernandez, from the University's International Relations Department, participated in the XII Conference on Teacher Education and Interdisciplinary Research, held by the University of South Africa (UNISA) from April 8 to 12.
The event, which took place in Eswatini, was an auspicious occasion for the signing of a collaboration memorandum between the two universities, which will increase academic exchange between Cuba and South Africa, reflecting the excellent state of bilateral relations and the willingness of both countries to further strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation.
The Rector visited the UNISA headquarters in Pretoria, where she exchanged with officials of the Directorate of International Relations and professors of the College of Education.
