Havana, December 22, 2022.- The Mexico City Ministry of Health reported that this Wednesday, December 21, 2,037 citizens were inoculated with the Cuban anti-covid drug Abdala in a new vaccination campaign.
The vaccination is aimed at people over 18 years of age who need a booster dose or have not received one.
This campaign will be developed in 230 units of the Ministry of Health of Mexico City.
That entity pointed out that for the application of the booster dose it was necessary to have completed four months of the last vaccine against COVID-19 regardless of the previous brand, bring proof of the last dose and the National Health Card.
The Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) authorized Abdala for emergency use in Mexico on December 28, 2021.
According to cohort studies, Abdala is 98.1% effective in preventing severe systemic disease and 92.28% against symptomatic disease.
