VI AEC Conference to be held in Havana

With the purpose of building bridges of transformation and innovation for the Greater Caribbean, developing a future for sustainable progress, and articulating regional alliances, the meeting is being held at the Packard Hotel in the capital.

With the presence of the First Secretary of the PCC and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel and the Member of the Political Bureau and Foreign Minister of Cuba Bruno Rodríguez, plus ministers, chancellors and representatives of Latin American and Caribbean governments, the VI Conference of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) will be held in Havana on November 11 and 12.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, followed by the Chairman of the ACS Ministerial Council, Mario Adolfo Bucaro Flores, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala; Chair of the ACS Committee on Cooperation and Resource Mobilization Adriana Bolaños of Costa Rica, and ACS Secretary General Rodolfo Sabonge.

A day's work is now taking place in the form of panels.
