Las Tunas, Cuba, November 8, 2022.- During an act of recognition to the Finnish delegates, the director of the institution, Dr. María Cristina Cisneros Vázquez, highlighted the solidarity gesture that will allow new conditions and comfort in this closed room and thanked the donation of medical supplies and gifts to hospitalized infants.
He stressed that the "Cuba for Life" gesture made possible the transformation of the structure with the general replacement of the plumbing network, the installation of a water heater and air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to preserve food, which will allow quality at the care of patients and their relatives.
Changes in the carpentry, the revitalization of medical and non-medical furniture, were also among the main changes in the Service, which will be expanded to 16 beds.
Tomi Kuhanen, vice president of the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association, pointed out that this solidarity gesture is not only the love of a brigade, it is a representation of Cuba's friends in their country.

On behalf of the collective, the director of the institution of Public Health in Las Tunas delivered recognitions and the book Hospital Pediátrico Mártires de Las Tunas, a monument to Revolutionary Medicine, which includes the historiography of the center with 62 years and up to the present with the presence of members of the XI Victoria de Girón Volunteer Work Brigade.
