Working Meeting with the Workers' Union Party
Warsaw, February 16 - Cuba's designated ambassador to Poland, Ibete Fernández Hernández, met with Piotr Goruk-Górski, vice president of the Workers' Union Party (Unia Pracy).
During the meeting, the ambassador provided information on the situation in Cuba following the implementation of President Donald Trump's executive order, based on absurd lies, to suffocate the Cuban people and impose political changes. The diplomat emphasized that the US president's conduct violates international law and represents a clear application of the extraterritoriality of the blockade.
For his part, the vice president of Unia Pracy described the United States' policy toward Latin America, and toward Cuba in particular, as unacceptable and unjust, and reaffirmed his support and solidarity with the Cuban people. Also participating in the meeting were the third secretary, Brenda Cantalapiedra, members of the party, and members of the anti-imperialist organization, Socialist Action.
