Helsinki, September 23, 2022.- In the context of the inauguration of the "Kolibrí" Cultural Festival, the Embassy of Cuba donated copies of the book "The Golden Age" by José Martí and the Complete Works of Nicolás Guillén to the multilingual library system from Finland.
In her words, the Cuban Ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, thanked the possibility of sharing the literature created by the "Most Universal of Cubans" and the National Poet of Cuba, with the Spanish-speaking community residing in Finland, in particular with children and young people. She also highlighted the importance of reading promotion programs and the importance of The Golden Age for the formation of values in the young generations.
The embassies of Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay participated in the initiative promoted by the "Ninho" Cultural Foundation, with literature for children and young people in Spanish and Portuguese.
