Adelaide, August 11, 2023. Young Cubans Marianniz Díaz and Iván Barreto undertook an intense program in the Australian city of Adelaide. During the last two days, they have been able to visit sites and institutions of social impact in Adelaide. Of special importance was the visit to the Romero community, a social project that serves disadvantaged people, people with disabilities, and the aboriginal population.
The young people also gave interviews to ABC and PBA FM radio stations. They exchanged with members of the South Australian State Parliament and members of the Communist Party in South Australia.
In the afternoon, a public event took place with members of the solidarity and sympathizers of the Cuban revolutionary process, where there was an exchange between young Australians and young Cubans, in particular about the upcoming Southern Cross Brigade, which will soon reach its 40th anniversary.
