Dublin, October 9, 2021. Commander Ernesto “Che” Guevara is a source of pride for many Irish people who embrace progressive ideas, this is influenced by Che's Irish origins, but above all that his libertarian ideas and for a more just world have full force.
Our solidarity friends could not choose a better date than the 54th anniversary of Che's assassination to pay tribute to him, but at the same time to do so by starring in solidarity actions that remind us of Che´s strugle.
Our friends cannot be discouraged or upset that the Nobel Prize jury has not decided to recognize the “Henry Reeve” Cuban Medical Brigades.
Let us remember that the friends of Cuba who started this campaign from the spring of 2020 and made it reach all latitudes knew that it would be very difficult to achieve the award.
Dear Friends:
Between October 14 and 16, the tenth edition of the ISLA Festival (Ireland, Spain and Latin America) will be held, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Cervantes Institute.
This will be an excellent opportunity to enjoy various artistic performances by Irish, Spanish and Latin American professionals, including two poets and a Cuban musician.
Mr Secretary General,
Mr President,
