Pretoria, May 9, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba in South Africa opened a book of condolences on the occasion of the passing away of Dr. Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, former president of the Cuban Parliament and former minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.
Pretoria, May 1t, 2022.- Thousands of Cubans return today to the squares in all the cities and towns of the country, in parades for International Workers' Day. The parade is reissued after two years of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is joined by supportive friends from mass and social organizations from around the world, including a brigade of 14 South African brothers. Thank you brothers for the permanent solidarity with Cuba.
Pretoria, April 27, 2022.- The Ambassador of Cuba in South Africa, Enrique Orta González attended today the official ceremony to celebrate the National Day of South Africa with the presence of the President of the Republic, Hon. Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa and several members of his cabinet and the Diplomatic Corps.
On the occasion, the Cuban representative had the opportunity to convey to the South African president and to the press present, the
congratulations
of the Cuban people and government for the 28th anniversary of Liberation Day.
Pretoria, May 17, 2022.- In the early morning of April 17, 1961, the mercenary invasion took place, nominated by its organizers "Operation Pluto". Pretoria, May 16, 2022.- The Embassy of Cuba in South Africa carried out the act of commemoration of the 61st anniversary of the Victory of the Cuban Revolution in "Playa Girón" (Bay of Pigs), which was attended by a large representation of the Cuban collaboration in South Africa and Embassy officials.
The remarks on the importance of the anniversary, which marks the first defeat of US imperialism in America, were given by Lázaro González Martínez, coordinator of the Hydraulic Brigade and the
Ambassador of Cuba, Enrique Orta González.
