African Union condemns continuity of blockade against Cuba

Addis Ababa, 7 February 2021. For the twelfth consecutive time, the Assembly of the African Union, composed of the Heads of State and Government of Africa, adopted the "Resolution on lifting the economic, trade and financial blockade imposed on the Republic of Cuba by the United States of America".

Cuba advocates more humane policies to tackle Covid-19.

Havana, Jan 30, 2021 .- Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodriguez called on monday to prioritize more humane policies as opposed to economic profit and political advantages to fight Covid-19 in the world. In a message posted on his Twitter account, Rodriguez condemned global inequalities in the fight against the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Cuba to produce 100m COVID-19 vaccine doses.

The Mast, 27  January 2021. CUBA says it aims to create capacity to produce 100 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Finlay Vaccine Institute general director Vicente Vérez Bencomo said Cuba was creating the capacity to produce Soberana 02 injectable COVID-19 vaccine doses.
