Cuba strengthens its commitment with disarmament, after the adoption of the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty

NEW YORK, 7 July 2017. Cuba defined today the adoption of the Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty as a historic milestone, resulting from a multilateral discussion of over 70 years.

“The Treaty is a well-deserved tribute to all victims of the use or testing of nuclear weapons”, announced the Representative of Cuba, Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Versón, while considering it a major step forward, within the imperative path towards nuclear disarmament.

President and Chancellor of Malawi received congratulatory messages from Cuban counterparts

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz sent a warm congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Malawi, Profesor Arthur Peter Mutharika on the occasion of the National Day and 53 anniversary of the independence of Malawi.

Zambia attended V Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba

Zambia, June 5, 2017. Zambia was present at the 5th Continental Conference of Solidarity with Cuba, which was held in Windhoek, Namibia, from 5 to 7 June 2017.

The delegation of Zambia was led by Cristina Catalá Quintana, the main organizer of the Solidarity Movement with Cuba in the Copperbelt Province; and comprised by Malele Chuundu, President of the Zambia-Cuba Friendship Association based in Lusaka; and Yudenia Ramos Catalá, member of the solidarity movement at Copperbelt.

Presidente del Parlamento de Zambia recibe a Director General de la Cancillería cubana

ZAMBIA, 26 de Abril 2017.- El Presidente de la Asamblea Nacional de Zambia, Dr. Patrick Matibini recibió este lunes en la sede del parlamento al Director General de la Cancillería cubana, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, durante su visita oficial al país africano.

En el encuentro que se desarrolló en un ambiente fraternal ambas partes destacaron el buen estado de las relaciones bilaterales existente entre los dos países, y de los vínculos entre sus instituciones parlamentarias
