On Friday 25, as part of the day for Cuban Culture, the Habanos Night was held at SG Suites Cambridge in Harare. The activity was organized by the Embassy of Cuba with the collaboration of Mosi Oa Tunya Cigars, a tobacco company from Zimbabwe that gave us the possibility of demonstrating the process of twisting tobacco to those present.
Last Saturday, October 19, was held in Harare a Cuban Night. Organized by the Embassy, part of the Cuban community, graduates in Cuba and several lovers of Latin rhythms gathered at the Pariah State in Belgravia to dance salsa, drink mojitos and enjoy a Caribbean atmosphere. This activity is part of those organized by the Embassy of Cuba in Zimbabwe to celebrate National Culture Day.
Dr. Jorge Delgado Bustillo, Director of the UCCM, who is on a work visit in the capital of Zimbabwe, was received by the Minister of Health of the brother country Dr. Obadiah Moyo and a representation of his work team. During the meeting, the work of Cuban doctors in the country and the recognition of the people were highlighted.
The Director of the Central Unit for Medical Collaboration (UCCM), Dr. Jorge Delgado Bustillo, arrived yesterday in the afternoon at the city of Harare on a 3-day work visit to be interested in the situation of the Cuban collaborators who are offering their services in this brother country. The Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe has 37 specialists in various branches of medicine working in several provinces of the country.
In the morning of today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius, Hon. Nandcoomar Bodha, received the cuban Ambassador in his office in Port Louis, Carmelina Ramirez. Mrs. Ramirez covers Mauritius from Harare by concurrence. During the meeting the minister praised the resistance of the Cuban people against the US-imposed blockade and expressed interest in strengthening bilateral relations with the Caribbean island.
