President of Sri Lanka signs the book of condolences for the demise of Fidel

SRI LANKA, November 28, 2016. - His Excellency, Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka signed today the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy of Cuba, in Colombo, on the occasion of the death of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution; qualified as an exemplary leader who dedicated his life and career to promote the welfare of his people.

SRI LANKA, November 28, 2016. - The Honorable Karu Jayasuriya, Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka signed the Book of Condolences, opened in the Cuban Embassy on the demise of the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

The Honorable Karu Jayasuriya wrote:

"I express my respects to the great leader of modern times. Fidel Castro was admired by us from childhood. He got up for the common people. He had love and affection for those who needed help.

Malacca Governor pays homage to comrade Fidel Castro

Kuala Lumpur, November 28 - Tun Khalil Yaakob, Governor of the state of Malacca, signed the book of condolences opened at the Cuban embassy on the occasion of the physical disappearance of the leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

At the conclusion of the signing, Governor Khalil reiterated to Cuban ambassador IbeteFernández his admiration for him and recalled his meetings with Fidel on the occasion of his official visit to Malaysia in 2001 and again in Havana when he travelled to Cuba as part of a Malaysian official delegation.

The signatories expressed words of admiration and sympathy towards the man of firm ideas and convictions, whose legacy has passed into the history of humanity.
