Cuba participated at the closing of the Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival

BAHAMAS, May 11th, 2015.- On Saturday, May 9, the Bahamian capital vibrated to the rhythm of the prominent Cuban group Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco who were invited to close the "Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival", first of its kind celebrated in this territory.

The Cuban group visited the Bahamas invited by the Organizing Committee of the "Junkanoo Carnival Bahamas" and was part of a group of bands, mostly Caribbeans, that contaminated the city last Saturday night.

International Mother`s Day Celebration

Cuban mothers, Barbadians, Venezuelan, Brazilian and Colombian appointment at the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba were given for the collective tribute to parents, spouses, children and friends, that special date. To enjoy good music performed live, delivering flowers symbolizing all its beauty and integrity; between songs, poems, dances, local food and anecdotes, which were interspersed with calls of congratulations from several points, he spent a joyful day of relaxation and fraternization that was enjoyed by all until arrival the night.

Call to continue the fight to end the blockade against Cuba

Blackball, New Zealand, 2 May 2015. As part of the International Workers' Day activities Antonio Guerrero’s painting exhibition "I Will Die As I’ve Lived" was inaugurated in the Museum of Working Class History in this city, and it was attended by a large number of people, including the Mayors of the cities of Greymouth and Buller District, Mr. Tony Kokshoorn and Mr. Garry Howard, union leaders, other local authorities, friends of solidarity from several cities in New Zealand and public in general.

Ambassador of Cuba delivers presentation on the reality of her country

As part of the International Workers' Day celebrations, the Ambassador of Cuba Maria del Carmen Herrera Caseiro was invited to participate in the Sustainable Economy Forum in New Zealand’s West Coast region, occasion in which she delivered an extensive presentation on the process of updating the Cuban economic model and the recent developments in the relations between Cuba and the US.
