Cuba attends International Book Exhibition in Azerbaijan
Baku, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Embassy is participating in the special events of the 10th Baku International Book Exhibition, Cuba's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Carlos Valdes, announced on Thursday.
Valdes told Prensa Latina that the exhibition, organized by the Azerbaijani Culture Ministry, is active at the Baku Expo Center through October 8.
The ambassador said the 10th Baku-2024 International Book Fair is dedicated to the 530th birthday of brilliant Azerbaijani poet and thinker Muhammad Fuzuli (1494-1556).
Georgian association demands removal of Cuba from US SSOT list
Tbilisi, Jun 28 (Prensa Latina) The Georgian-Cuban Friendship Association has firmly rejected Cuba's inclusion in Washington's State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) list, Cuban Ambassador to this country, Carlos Valdes, informed on Friday.
The diplomat told Prensa Latina that the Friends of Solidarity of Georgia handed him a document signed by Pavle Jibuti, president of the said Friendship Association, which describes the drawing-up of that list as a selective mechanism of the United States against progressive countries.

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the country Carlos Enrique Valdes de la Concepcion, Trend reports.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Cuba Ruslan Rzayev.
