Belize celebrates ceremony for the start of Cuba’s Independence Day

Belmopan, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) The diplomatic mission of Cuba in Belize conmemorated the 155th anniversary of the beginning of the independence of the island and the day of the national culture with a political celebration, the legation reported Wednesday.

As part of the activity, the Cuban health collaborators highlighted their commitment to maintain the quality and professionalism in the services they provide to the Belizean population.

On the 24th of September 2023, the Cuban Embassy in Washington, D.C, United Stated, suffered an attack by an individual who threw two Molotov cocktails over the perimeter of the Cuban Embassy.  

This is the second time that acts of terrorism have been displayed against the Cuban Embassy on US soil; back in April of 2020, a gunman fired at the building with an AK-47 style rifle.

Terrorist attack on Cuban Embassy in Washington condemned in Belize

Belmopan, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban State mission in Belize on Monday condemned the terrorist attack perpetrated on the Cuban Embassy in Washington on Sunday night, and demanded that the Government of the United States clarify the incident.In a statement, the Cuban diplomats demanded that US authorities bring to justice the person responsible for the attack, who threw two Molotov cocktails at the diplomatic building, as denounced by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.

Cuba and Belize sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the sphere of water resources.

Belmopán, June 13, 2023.- The National Institute of Hydraulic Resources of Cuba and the Ministry of Public Services, Energy, Logistics and Electronic Government of Belize, signed in this capital a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of water resources as part of the agreements of bilateral cooperation that are being developed in different spheres between both countries.
