Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Cuban Government on Tuesday denounced President Donald Trump’s latest attacks on the island as lacking any grounds and demonstrating the US imperialism’s aggressiveness against the people’s sovereignty.
“The decision to reestablish the iron-clad economic war measures against Cuba, which his predecessor eliminated only days before, is a demonstration of the aggressiveness of US imperialism against the sovereignty, peace and well-being of the Cuban population,” stressed a statement from the island’s government.
Washington, January 21 (RHC)-- U.S. President Donald Trump revoked this Monday, in the first hours of his Presidency, the order of last January 14th with which former President Joe Biden removed Cuba from the list of states that promote terrorism.

These operations are carried out on the basis of a procedure that regulates the terms for the presentation and authorization of requests for entry, transit and operation in the airspace controlled by the Cuban government.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated Sunday the need for full compliance with the agreements signed with the United States as the only way to achieve regular, orderly, and safe migratory flows between the two countries.
The blockade constitutes the main obstacle to Cuba's development and therefore, deteriorates the standard of living of the Cuban people; being a fundamental cause of migration, the head of state wrote on Twitter.
