Gulf Times, October 19, 2019. - Cuban Hospital, part of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), has embarked on a 24-month-long construction programmed as part of a major expansion effort at enhancing the patient experience and improving access to specialized medical care for the population living in Dukhan and the western districts of Qatar.
A delegation composed of Dr. Mayda Mauri, Vice-President of BIOCUBAFARMA and Dr. Rafael Pérez Cristia, Director-General of the State Centre for Drug Control, made a working visit to Doha, invited by the Qatari Ministry of Public Health, the 15-18 of this month. The delegation developed an extensive program that included meetings and interviews with the Qatari Minsap, with drug regulatory authorities and production companies.
Doha, March 4, 2019. Yesterday morning, the Ambassador of Cuba Eumelio Caballero Rodríguez held a meeting with S.E. Mr. Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports of the State of Qatar. In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, they analyzed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture and sports. Doha, February 14, 2019. - The Deputy Minister of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Marcia Cobas Ruiz, completed a brief working visit to Qatar on Tuesday. In addition to the meetings held with Qatari authorities, Dr. Cobas visited the Cuban Hospital of Dukhan and held a fruitful exchange with members of the Cuban Medical Brigade. In this activity, the BMC gave her a donation to help compensate the damages caused by the Tornado that affected Havana recently.
Doha, October 25, 2018. - The Ambassador of Cuba in the State of Qatar, Mr. Eumelio Caballero Rodríguez, held a meeting last Tuesday with Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari, Minister of State of Qatar with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister. The meeting focused on the invitation to Dr. Kuwari to participate in the IV International Conference for the Balance of the World to be held in Havana in January 2019. They also addressed other issues of mutual interest. The meeting was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
