Díaz-Canel welcomes Caribbean position against U.S. blockade of Cuba

Bridgetown, December 6 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Tuesday thanked the Caribbean Community for its stance against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on his country by the United States more than six decades ago.

During his speech at the 8th Caricom-Cuba Summit, held in the capital of Barbados, the president acknowledged the solidarity and support of the group during Covid-19 and after the blockade imposed on his country by the United States more than six decades ago.

Bridgetown, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel arrived in Barbados today for an official visit, as part of a Caribbean tour that previously took him to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Upon his arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport, in this capital, the Cuban president was received by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley.

Diaz-Canel thanked Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for aid.

Kingstown, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday thanked the lawmakers from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the aid provided to his country after accidents and natural disasters.

At a special session of Parliament, the Cuban head of State expressed gratitude for the shows of support and the resources shared by this nation, where he has paid an official visit since Saturday.

Kingstown, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday attended a special session of the Parliament of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where he paid an official visit.

The president arrived in Kingstown on Saturday and in the afternoon he talked with Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves about the Caribbean and Latin American position in view of Cuba’s exclusion from the last Summit of the Americas, in the United States, among other issues.
