First financing for Cuba’s Covid-19 vaccines approved
Tegucigalpa, Jan 11 (Prensa Latina) The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) approved the first financing for 46.7 million euros for Cuba to produce 200 million doses of its home-grown vaccines against Covid-19, it was reported on Tuesday.
With this budget, Cuba, an extraterritorial member of CABEI, will also be able to strengthen the capacities to develop other drugs, medical equipment and diagnostic kits for the benefit of the population, according to a press release on the financial institution’s website.
