512 Anniversary of the Foundation of Baracoa
Baracoa, a National Monument of Cuba, is the oldest colonial city on the island, which is why it is known as the First City. All its charm is located at the eastern end of the island, in the province of Guantanamo.
The town was founded by the Spanish conquerors on August 15, 1511, under the name of "Our Lady of the Assumption of Baracoa".
