In Finland, the love for the homeland that prevailed at the First Forum of Cubans in the Health Sector Living Abroad was felt
For Carlos Alexander, a Cuban resident in Finland, the "I Foro de Cubanos del Sector de la Salud Residentes en el Exterior" it "was an excellent idea for those of us who want to contribute and help our homeland from abroad." The event, held this Wednesday at the Havana Convention Center, brought together more than 30 in-person participants and 360 guests, connected from more than 50 countries, including Canada, Italy, the United States, Germany, Serbia, the United Kingdom, Norway, and Finland. During this experience, ways to provide immediate and effective assistance were discussed. He concluded that it was an excellent experience that he hopes will continue to develop. Carlos is one of the hundreds of Cubans living abroad who, motivated by their love for Cuba, use their own salaries to purchase supplies and medicines that are in short supply in hospitals and emergency rooms due to the intense limitations of the unjust US blockade, which has become increasingly harsher with the financial persecution against the island. To all these anonymous heroes, we say THANK YOU, on behalf of the hundreds of Cubans whose lives have been saved thanks to that love that keeps them close to the land of their birth, despite the physical distances from Cuba.
