The Minister of Public Health of Lithuania, Arūnas Dulkys, received this Wednesday the Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, at the main headquarters of his institution. At the meeting, both parties discussed the results in the fight against COVID and the primary health strategies implemented in both countries. The Ambassador thanked the Lithuanian authorities for their cordial welcome and invited them to promote agreements in this area between the two nations.
As part of Cuba's foreign policy based on friendship, cooperation and solidarity, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González expressed to the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauséda, her interest in strengthening bilateral relations. The Head of Mission held a meeting with the Lithuanian dignitary after presenting them the day before with the Letters of Credence that accredit her as concurrent ambassador in this Baltic country. Nauséda recognized in the cordial talk the Cuban achievements in education and sports, areas in which -he considered- both nations can establish collaboration agreements.
The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González held a meeting with the Deputy Director General of the Department of Communication and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Jurgita Germanavičienė. The meeting addressed issues of communicational and cultural interest for both countries. The diplomat was interested in learning about Lithuania's experience in the field of strategic communication, for the dismantling of disinformation campaigns, an area that also affects Cuba, since the beginning of the Revolution.
