Delist Cuba from states supporting terrorism – Falana tells US govt

Abuja, June 27 2024.- Prominent human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, has called on the United States government to remove Cuba from its list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism.

In a statement released on Thursday, Falana emphasized the need for the U.S. to comply with United Nations General Assembly resolutions that have annually demanded an end to the U.S. blockade against Cuba and the lifting of the economic and trade embargo imposed since February 1962.

Cuba Demands Removal From US Terror-Sponsors’ List

Abuja, June 14 2024.- The Government of Cuba has demanded the country’s removal by the United States Government, from the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism, stressing that Cuba has done nothing to be included in the list.

Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the call in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP by its Embassy in Abuja condemning the US official media reports submitted to the Congress by the Secretary of State on 15 May, 2024.

Abuja, June 13, 2024.- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba Miriam Morales Palmero held a meeting with Director of Regions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Janet Olisa.

During the meeting, important topics of bilateral interest were addressed, such as the arrival of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Bilateral Relations between both countries and the need to continue strengthening the cooperative relations that exist between the people of Cuba and Nigeria.
