The damages and losses of the impact of the cruelest economic, commercial and financial blockade, denounced 28 times in the United Nations General Assembly, are not enough, but now, in the conditions aggravated by the SARS-CoVid-19 pandemic, the United States used as a perfect ally for political purposes.

I thank the Pro-Tempore Secretariat of Andorra for the successful celebration of this meeting and the wise way in which the Conference activities have been conducted, even amidst the exceptional circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.  We reiterate our support and recognize the work of the Ibero-American General Secretariat in these efforts.

On the late night of Saturday, November 28, 2020, the General Director in charge of the United States of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío, summoned the United States Chargé d'Affaires Timothy Zúñiga-Brown, to whom he conveyed that “Cuba it does not allow the United States or any state to interfere in the internal affairs of the country ”. He also asked him to reiterate that statement to the State Department.

We would like to commend the work carried out by the Mexican Pro Tempore Presidency of CELAC.

Geneva, July 14, 2020 -- Cuba reaffirmed at the UN Human Rights Council its commitment to the fight against corruption, and called for it to always be addressed with respect for the sovereignty of countries.

Speaking in an interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers, Diego García-Sayán, Cuban representative Jairo Rodríguez noted that the island had successfully completed two cycles of the review mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

I feel honored to bring into this virtual Summit the voice of Cuba, a small developing country, where workers in power struggle on a daily basis to achieve all the justice, which was the dream and commitment of the founding fathers of our nation.

Today, as has been always the case throughout the last 61 years, Cuba is sharing the new and serious challenges facing the International Labor Organization as it enters into its second century of its existence.
