December 8, 2023: 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Guyana.

Guyana, Georgetown, December 8, 2023. December 8, 1972, marked the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Guyana. Today marks the 51st anniversary of those relations. The historic ties of brotherhood between our peoples and our shared Caribbean identity are ratified. Cuba will continue working with Guyana for the right to development on the basis of solidarity and cooperation. Both countries have reaffirmed the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.

Cuba will collaborate with Guyana for the production of honey

Guyana. Georgetown September 6, 2023. The President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, announced on September 1, within the framework of the Annual National Conference of Toshaos (Amerindian Chiefs), the visit of four Cuban specialists who will offer training with the purpose of expanding honey production. “…we want to create a common brand of honey that is associated with the Guyana rainforest and can be marketed as a specialty product…” President Ali said.
