Bridges continue being created between researchers from Ireland and Cuba: the second virtual meeting is held between the University College of Dublin and the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.

Dublin, Ireland, November 27, 2023. Today the virtual meeting “Creating Bridges between Ireland and Cuba II” took place. Diabetes and Obesity”, held between Irish and Cuban researchers, from the University College of Dublin (UCD), for its acronym in English and the “Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology” of Cuba (CIGB, in Spanish), respectively, to explore potential synergies between the research from both renowned institutions.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Ireland visits the University College of Cork.

Cork, Ireland, April 20, 2023. Deputy President & Registrar's Office at University College Cork, Professor Stephen Byrne and the Head of the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies of the University itself, Professor Nuala Finnegan, received the Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernandez.

PROFESSOR FRANK O´MARA, HEAD OF THE OFFICE OF THE AUTHORITY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD OF IRELAND (TEAGASC) RECEIVES THE AMBASSADOR OF CUBA.

Carlow, April 17, 2023. The Head of the Office of the Irish Food and Agriculture Development Authority (TEAGASC) received today in his office the Ambassador of Cuba, Bernardo Guanche Hernández. During the cordial meeting, both exchanged about the prospects for cooperation between Ireland and Cuba in these two strategic fields of development of both countries.
