Minister of Health of Guyana acknowledges the work of Cuban collaborators

Georgetown, April 29, 2019. The Minister of Public Health of Guyana, Honorable Volda Lawrence, handed over diplomas of recognition to 14 collaborators who completed their three-year solidarity work in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. The Minister highlighted the importance for her country of the Cubaan medical collaboration.

The Cuban Ambassador, Narciso Reinaldo Amador Socorro and the Chief of the Medical Brigade, Dra. Tatiana García Téllez, congratulated and wished the collaborators a happy return to the homeland and expressed the willingness of the Cuban authorities to continue cooperating with the Government and the people of Guyana in the field of public health.

Ambassadors of Venezuela and Cuba evoke historical dates of both countries

On April 19 unites the history of Venezuela and Cuba, as was pointed out by the ambassadors of both countries during a ceremony at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Institute of Culture and Cooperation. That day commemorates the 208th anniversary of the beginning of the process of struggle for Venezuelan independence and the 57th anniversary of the Victory of Playa Girón
