The Ambassador of Cuba, Beatriz Parra González, held a courtesy meeting with Jussi Tanner, General Director of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. During the dialogue, both authorities discussed issues of mutual interest.
The Cuban musician living in the U.S., Ignacio (Nachito) Herrera, donated musical instruments to the Amadeo Roldán Music School in order to contribute with the development of artistic studies in the same country he was trained as a musician.
A new bridge of love is built by the Cuban composer and pianist, who has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and is visiting Cuba to perform at the 2022 Jazz Plaza International Festival.
Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz was born on August 13th 1926 in Birán, then Cuban province of Oriente. His father Ángel Castro Argiz, the son of poor farmers from Galicia was a landholder and sugar cane tenant. His mother Lina Ruz Gonzalez came from a peasant’s family in Pinar del Rio province.
Athens, November 15. The José Martí Cultural Association of solidarity with Cuba, participated in an act of solidarity with the Cuban revolution within the framework of the commemoration of the student rebellion (1973) against the US-supported military dictatorship, known as the events of the polytechnic from Athens. With banners and shouts from below the blockade, and against US imperialism, the solidarity friends expressed their friendship and support for Cuba against the provocations of the enemies of the revolution.
Several organizations also took part in the event. Among them, representatives of the Greek chapter of the Network in Defense of Humanity (REDH).

Representation of the Network for the Defense of Humanity (Greek chapter) was present on the first day of celebration for the anniversary of the popular uprising of the Polytechnic school that took place on November 17, 1973 against the dictatorship of the colonels in Greece. It was the first day after the three days of celebration. It distributed material related to the struggles of the Cuban people, who continue to defend, their revolution, their political and social conquests.
