Cuban Head of Mission participates in celebration of Human Rights Day 2024

Monrovia, December 10, 2024.- At the invitation of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera attended the national celebration of Human Rights Day 2024. This year this ephemeris was celebrated under the global theme “Our Rights, Our Future - Now!”

The celebration began with a parade and culminated with an activity at the Monrovia City Hall.

President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association defines blockade of Cuba as the worst violation of Human Rights.

Monrovia, April 8, 2022 – In a meeting held with Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, the president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Group, Kesselee King Kanneh, today condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years, which he defined as the worst violation of Human Rights. He also ratified his rejection of this inhuman policy and denounced its extraterritorial character.
