Defense is key in joint relations between Vietnam and Cuba

Ties in the field of defense constitute one of the pillars of the relations between Cuba and Vietnam, and an example to promote cooperation in other sectors, high-ranking officers from Vietnam and Cuba said. The asessment was made during a meeting between the ministers of Defense of Vietnam, General Phan Van Giang, and of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba, Army Corps General Álvaro López Miera, who is holding a working visit to Vietnam.

Defence Minister of Vietnam receives Cuban Construction Minister

Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang received Cuban Minister of Construction René Antonio Mesa Villafana in Hanoi on March 28.

Gen. Giang hailed the time-honoured friendship between Vietnam and Cuba over the past decades, and said despite its difficulties Cuba has lent its helping hand to Vietnam’s COVID-19 fight.
