President of Cuba completes an intense day of work in the Russian Federation

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, completed an intense work durin his visit to the Russian Federation. .

In the first activity in Moscow, the president paid tribute to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz (1926-2016), and placed a wreath before the monument that perpetuates his memory, in the square that bears his name in the Sokol neighborhood.

Previously, Díaz-Canel held a brief meeting with members of the Cuban state mission in the Eurasian nation.

Moscow, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel's official visit to Russia concluded on Tuesday after a busy agenda that included meetings at the highest levels in order to strengthen bilateral ties.

Tuesday marked the fourth and last day of the stay of Diaz-Canel and his delegation in Moscow, which closed with a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, at which they analyzed the mutual cooperation plan until 2030.

Russian Orthodox Patriarch calls Cuba an island of freedom.

Moscow, Nov 22 (Prensa Latina) The Moscow and All Russia Patriarch Kirill on Tuesday described Cuba as the island of freedom, at a meeting with President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

At the Danilov Monastery, the venue of the Russian Orthodox Church, both leaders acknowledged the broad bonds of friendship that unite Havana and Moscow, at times when the West is trying to suffocate both countries.

President Diaz-Canel meets with Cubans in Moscow.

Moscow, November 20, 2022.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel met on Sunday in Moscow with Cuban workers in Russia as part of his official visit to this nation.

During the meeting, the head of State explained the current reality in Cuba and the world, the country’s efforts to confront the tightened United States blockade, and the economic situation aggravated, as in the whole world, by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cuban president continues program of activities in Moscow.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has paid a heartfelt tribute to the Soviet soldiers who fell in the Great Patriotic War.  At around 11 am local time on Monday, the head of state arrived at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located in front of the Kremlin wall.

Hours earlier, he held a meeting with Guennadi Andrèyevich Ziugànov, general secretary of the Russian Communist Party, in the context of his official visit to this country.
