Communiqué from the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Zambia on the March of the Combatant People.

On December 20, more than 500 thousand Havana residents, representing the people, led by Army General and leader of the Revolution, Raúl Castro Ruz, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, marched in front of the United States embassy in a massive demonstration against the blockade and the inclusion of the country on the list of state sponsors of terrorism drawn up by the State Department.

Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba: There is only one Cuba

These measures are limited in scope and do not target the essence of the blockade against Cuba nor the additional sanctions that make up the maximum pressure policy.  Once again, this US government decision relies on its own distorted view of the Cuban reality, for it intends to artificially separate the private sector from the public sector, when they are both part of Cuba’s entrepreneurial system and the Cuban society as a whole.

Revolutionary Government Declaration: Aggression against Venezuela must cease

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba condemns and energetically rejects the attempt to impose a coup d’etat, a puppet government at the service of the United States, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and expresses its unwavering solidarity with the government of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros.

The true objectives of actions against Venezuela are to control the vast resources of this sister nation and destroy the value of its example, as an emancipatory process defending the dignity and independence of Our America.
