Cuba unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, while reaffirming its commitment to cooperate with the United States and other nations to strengthen regional and international security.

Cuba condemns and denounces new escalation of US economic blockade

The Revolutionary Government condemns in the strongest terms the new escalation by the US government against Cuba in its efforts to impose a total blockade on fuel supplies to our country. The executive order issued by the US President on January 29, 2026, declares a supposed national emergency, under which his government will be able to impose trade tariffs on imports of products from countries that supply oil to Cuba.

There are no talks with the US government, except for technical contacts in the area of migration.

The Cuban citizen José Daniel Ferrer García, accompanied by several members of his family, who are also Cuban citizens, has departed from the national territory of Cuba this October 13, 2025.

On December 20, more than 500 thousand Havana residents, representing the people, led by Army General and leader of the Revolution, Raúl Castro Ruz, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, marched in front of the United States embassy in a massive demonstration against the blockade and the inclusion of the country on the list of state sponsors of terrorism drawn up by the State Department.
