Finance Minister of Grenada will give up US visa and stand behind Cuba

Finance Minister Dennis Cornwall said that he and others in Government are willing to give up their US visas in support of the people of Cuba. As a former graduate of a Cuban university, he has a moral obligation, and as a government minister, he believes that the Cuban doctors and nurses in Grenada’s healthcare system are providing irreplaceable service.

Cuba and Grenada sign cultural cooperation agreement.

St George, November 12. At the Head Office of the Ministerial Complex in Grenada, the Cuban Ambassador Ivette Martínez Leyva, representing the Minister of Culture of Cuba, and Senator Adrian Thomas, Minister of Tourism, Creative Economy and Culture of Grenada, signed the Cultural Cooperation Agreement between the two countries.

In her words of thanks, the diplomat emphasized the commitment to materialize a cooperation that implies a joint artistic training, which develops in citizens the necessary capacities to exercise or appreciate visual arts, music, dance and literature.

President of Cuba receives delegation of senators from Granada.

Havana, September 20, 2024.- “Your visit is a source of great satisfaction,” said the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, when welcoming Dessima Williams, president of the Senate of Grenada, who is making an official visit to Cuba, at the Palace of the Revolution on Thursday.

The Head of State spoke to the parliamentarian about continuity, history, common struggles and brotherhood. This, said Díaz-Canel, is an opportune moment to continue strengthening relations between our countries.
